Some Dirt Blog Maintenance

I just wanted to update you all on a couple of things happening behind the scenes here at the blog. I have started taking a deeper interest in who is actually reading this blog (if anyone), and, more importantly, what content is getting read the most. So, I’ve started doing two things I should have done long ago: use Google Analytics and Feedburner to keep track of this type of info.

This means that there is a “newer” RSS feed attached to this website, and I would really appreciate it if you’d give it a follow to replace your current RSS feed (the old one should still work, this just helps me out). If you aren’t currently subscribed, please do so!

Here it is:

This also means that I have changed the URLs on my posts, so they now include the entire title. This way I can tell which posts are getting read in Google Analytics, so I know what content you all like best. The links to the old URLs are still good, so don’t fret about that. They just aren’t the same as what you now see when you click through the blog.

Otherwise, everything is still the same here at Dirt. You can still get weekly updates of blog posts by signing up for email, too, which you can do in the sidebar. And please give me a follow and send me a note @brockter on Twitter, if you aren’t already. I have really appreciated those of you who keep reading, and I hope that the content will continue to improve with these new changes!

Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see on this blog and I will do my best to accommodate!
